Bulgaria possesses long coastline and golden beaches, over 500 mineral springs, many natural phenomena. The Bulgarian lands have been inhabited by various tribes that have developed a rich and varied culture. The innate aesthetic sensitivity of Bulgarians creates art from every kind of material. The National Revival was a period of accelerated development and national integration. It is remarkable for its characteristic architecture which can still be observed in old towns, the rich literary heritage that inspired the Bulgarian struggle for independence. The great masterpieces of architecture and exquisite art were created.
